Wedding style inspiration

Spring and summer mean one thing; an influx of wedding invitations. Friends, colleagues, acquaintances, family members. Everyone is getting married and you need a different outfit for each celebration. Well, in case you find yourself at a loss, here are 5 outfits to inspire your own wedding style this season. With these ideas, you don't have to stress, you just need to get inspired and put your own spin on things. After all, weddings are supposed to be fun, not stressful.

Look 1- Beautifully Understated

A bold print dress in a simple silhouette is a great look for a wedding. Choose a sunny floral print and bright accessories for a season perfect look that is beautiful without being overpowering. This way you stand out without drawing the wrong kind of attention.

Look 2- Sexy came to Slay

This look is not for the faint of heart. However, for the attention seeking fearless woman in you, a wedding is the perfect atmosphere to flaunt. A dress that hugs all the right curves and exposes the correct amount of flesh is your go to. Like this gorgeously fitted number with a low cut neckline, a split in the front of the skirt, and for extra vavavoom, a fly peplum. Do be careful though, too much on display and you will be sending out the wrong message.

Look 3- Traditionally Formal

For a more formal wedding environment, a long dress or gown is perfect. We love this one made of lace with African print details. An alternative would be a long maxi dress featuring fabrics like chiffon, silk or tulle. When the sun is out, lightweight fabrics are always best. The trick is to go for a gown that is not too fussy in and that you can move and dance comfortably in. And remember, since the bride is also going to be wearing a gown, you may want to avoid white or anything that would compete with her dress, unless the dress code states otherwise.

Look 4- Boho Babe Chic

A beach or garden wedding is a great time to experiment with your wedding style. Go for the ultimate summer relaxed style in a boho inspired look. We love a good maxi skirt and crop top combination for this vibe, but don't be afraid to also try a mini dress, a fun print romper and/or a fringe vest. And have fun with your accessories, flowers in the hair and gladiator sandals would be the perfect finish, for a carefree look that you can dance the night away in.

Look 5- Boss babe, don't care

We get it, you don't really follow the rules in life so why would you follow the rules for weddings. Well, we're here for your rebellious ways, and for you, we recommend a bold jumpsuit with a peplum and flare legs. Or why not even go fully to the other side with a tux. A jumpsuit is perfect because you can style it up or down, based on the theme of the wedding, and make it work for you. And as long as the invite doesn't specifically request that you wear a dress, then it's really not a problem.
